SKS ‘makes the cut’ for Lockex
» » HERTFORDSHIRE-BASED KEY BLANK
and cutting machines company SKS has
its focus locked onto Lockex as the plans
for its stand in June start to take shape
nicely.
Hoping to “meet as many visitors as
possible, and get new people from other
trades to know about the company, its
extensive range, technical knowledge,
and customer service”, the team from
SKS will be welcoming locksmiths,
auto locksmiths and hardware store
specialists to their stand.
Once there, visitors will be treated to
demonstrations of SKS’s extensive range
of cutting machines plus the new Magnum
Jaw and JMA Multicode electronic
machine will be on proud display.
Representatives from both the technical
and sales departments will be on hand to
share their extensive product knowledge
and offer some hands-on experience with
the equipment on show.
SKS goody bags will also be avaiable,
which will include the brand new 2018
catalogue, pens, tape measures and
notepads, plus some sweet treats to
keep you going in between meals!
Originating as ‘Simonds Key
Services’ in the early 1970s, SKS – in
partnership with JMA – has since
become the UK’s largest key blank
wholesaler. With a true passion for
keys, its service and publications
(including catalogues, guides, price
lists and more) are widely acclaimed,
while clearly demonstrating pride for
the locksmith industry.
More recently, SKS has become
part of the Altuna Group, a worldwide
leader in the manufacturing of JMA key
blank and key machines, and IFAM and
MAXUS security products.
DIAGNOSIS LOOKS GOOD AT THIS YEAR’S LOCKEX
» » RETURNING LOCKEX
exhibitors Advanced Keys
Limited will be showcasing a
selection of The Diagnostic
Box products and new key
ranges at its Lockex stand this
June.
Citing facilities and location
as the highlights from Lockex
2016, this will be Advanced
Keys second appearance
at the exhibition, which is
organised by the same team
behind The Locksmith Journal.
Seeing as the team is usually
based in Birmingham, it is not
hard to see why Coventry’s
Ricoh Arena was such an
appealing location for them!
Originating as a company
that supplied wholesale car
keys, key fobs, remotes,
and transponders, it now
ships internationally (with no
minimum order and a fixed
carrier fee), and boasts an
online shop.
This year the Advanced Keys
team – led by Kim Stanier –
will be demonstrating a host
of equipment including the
TDB1000 key programmer and
related support systems. As the
UK’s official distributor for The
Diagnostic Box, there will also
be a comprehensive range of
wares on display, which many
auto locksmiths regard as
invaluable to their work.
While the stand is a not-
to-be-missed opportunity for
auto locksmiths, diagnostics,
and body shops in particular,
anyone interested in this
side of the industry will
benefit from the state of the
art kit on display, and Kim is
looking forward to meeting
new customers and greeting
existing clients across the
whole weekend.
