International recognition
for Barrier Components
»»Barrier Components Ltd was
delighted to receive a recognition award, in
front of 500 people, at the recent Locinox 25
year trading celebrations in Belgium.
As the first ever Locinox appointed
distributor and remaining as a faithful
customer of Locinox today, Graham
Walker, Jt Managing Director was very
pleased to collect the award on behalf of
the company.
Graham said: “We have been dealing
with Locinox for 25 years and were
delighted to be invited to join their
celebrations. It was a lovely surprise
that we were recognised for our loyalty
as a customer over the years. They sell
a top quality product and we have sold
many units over the years to happy UK
customers.”
Barrier Components Ltd., based in
Purfleet in Essex, has been supplying
architectural hardware since 1985. Most
items are kept in stock and are offered
with specialist technical support and a
speedy delivery service throughout the
UK.
25,000 new businesses
supported by Start Up Loans
»»The government’s
Start Up Loan* scheme has
hit another milestone as the
25,000th business loan is
approved, taking the total
amount lent to new firms to
nearly £130m.
The scheme provides
financial support and mentoring
to entrepreneurs looking to set
up their own business.
According to the Start Up
Loan Company, more than
32,000 new jobs have been
generated as a result of the
scheme since it was launched
in 2012.
David Cameron said:
“Small businesses are the
lifeblood of our economy and
supporting them to get off the
ground and create jobs and
opportunities for hardworking
people is a key part of our
long-term economic plan.”
James Caan CBE, chairman
of the Start Up Loans
Company, said:
“The creation of 25,000 new
businesses is a significant
achievement and everyone
involved – the government,
the Start Up Loans Company,
and the loan recipients
themselves, should be
immensely proud.”
