Stop failing in your
financ s!
Many of us struggle to keep on top of
our finances; we run out of money, we
run into debt, we run from our financial
responsibilities, and all of this,
ultimately, leads to an unsuccessful
financial life.
The idea of an unsuccessful financial
life could vary from person to person,
but the ultimate feeling of ‘not being
free’ may be common for everyone,
when they are not where they want to
be financially.
Here are some general tips to avoid
financial failure:
•
•
•
Stay within your budget; try to
maintain a good cash flow by
spending less.
Try not to purchase on impulse;
this way, you only buy what you
need.
Avoid
digging
into
your
overdraft
and
keep
a
close eye on your balance.
•
•
•
Only take out loans for
emergencies; credit cards are
similar to loans, so be cautious!
Avoid card scams; if it sounds too
good to be true, it probably is.
Compare prices before making
substantial purchases.
Before anyone can pursue financial
success, they must first identify
what success means to them, ignore
what it may mean to everyone else,
as the majority tend to focus on the
bright lights of success rather than
on its depth. Once they have defined
success, they need to set achievable
goals leading towards it.

in your finances so that you have
more breathing room in terms of
your money. We aim to help people
find themselves financially, discover
what success means for them, and set
goals towards reaching it. Meetings
take place every Monday at 7:30pm
(also at 7am, 10am, and 3pm).
Fortunately, financial wisdom can
be acquired at the UCKG. At the
meetings on Mondays, we can teach
you how to improve your finances,
from making smart financial decisions
to educating you to become financially
independent. Not only will the
meetings teach you how to manage
your wealth more efficiently, but they
the royal Bank of mum
“I never really had much of a
financial life. I was young and
was living off the money my
mum would provide for me.
Growing up, I would not have money to
buy what I wanted and to do the things
I wanted, and, as a young boy, this
became increasingly difficult. I would
see everyone around me buying the
latest stuff while I had to struggle.
By attending the UCKG and by
taking part in faith-related projects,
I was successfully led into the next
step of my life – from getting better
jobs to starting my own business. I’ve
challenged God with many sacrifices over these years
and, through this, I’ve seen progress in my finances.
I managed to graduate from university a couple of
years ago and landed myself a good contract. From
then onwards, my finances have been going
from strength to strength.
Doubts are a part of life; they will
always come, but you must
learn how to overcome them
and be strong. There were
many times that I wanted to
give up, but I kept on going
knowing that God would
honour me.
My biggest achievement
has been landing contracts
and roles that were above
my level; in this sense, I
didn’t have the necessary
experience but, because of the faith and the confidence that I came
in with, I was able to get jobs that I shouldn’t have got.
There were times where they cancelled other interviews because
they liked me so much. Today, I’m a specialist in what I do; I freelance
for a great company as well as working with my personal clients. As
I have said, each year I am going from strength to strength.
My faith in God and the guidance I received through attending the
meetings at the UCKG are a very big part of my success because,
before I came, I was very low in confidence; I was insecure, but the
faith I’ve received has helped me grow strong in my own mind. I
have the confidence to speak boldly wherever I go and to get new
contracts and clients.
When you understand what the promises of God are, you don’t settle
for less than that. You know that God has your back and, with time,
things will work out for you. Keep investing in yourself because, as I
always say, success happens when opportunity meets preparation.
You must be prepared for your blessing when it comes.”
