Don’t BE
Fooled!
There could come a time when your
perspective may become clouded,
when you might feel like life is at a dead
end, and that the only thing to do is give
up. Don’t let yourself be deceived!
‘Giving up’ is one of the biggest
injustices you could serve yourself.
Sometimes you can be fooled so hard
that you’re unable to see the truth, that
there is a possibility that you won’t see
it coming, but, in order to recognise
this, you must stay resilient in any
given situation.
The second you feel like giving up,
remember that you are simply allowing
yourself to believe that there is no way
out, and that this is not always the truth.
There is always a way to improve your
situation, and it all begins in the mind.
The most important step is to change
the way you think; break those
negative reoccurring thought patterns
of: ‘I can’t do this’, ‘I’m going to fail’,
or ‘I should just give up’. Convert
them into positive affirmations like:
‘My efforts are fruitful’, ‘Everything
is getting better’, and ‘I accept and
welcome happiness into my life’.
Positive reinforcement is encouraging,
especially in moments and situations
where life is leading you to believe that
you should give up. A positive outlook
can be hard to adopt during the difficult
stages in our lives; however, these are
the times we need this outlook the
most. Instead of giving in to doubt,
allow yourself to challenge life instead.
For the sceptics who may not be
convinced by the power that positivity
holds, and for those who are ready
to try something new and become
empowered, we welcome you to join us
every Sunday, at any of our branches,
for our main meeting of the week (See
page 15 for the addresses).
At the UCKG, we show you how to
overcome moments of pessimism
through faith and prayer.
Sometimes it’s easier to talk to a
stranger. If life’s foolery is causing you
