The lunch was deliciously catered by Mark Grove and his team at Cook & Butler and we cracked along at a goodly pace. Our guests were admirably introduced by Liveryman Fran Morrison and our Principal Guest, Tim Wonnacott gave a generous and very humorous reply to which I responded initially by drenching poor Tim in a glass of water - he was Tuesday 14th very May kind 2019 about it (sorry Tim!). I was very pleased show off the newly found Livery Grant of Arms Master’s Reception at The to Old Operating Theatre and Letters Patent which have been missing for many years 2019 - our Clerk tenaciously sought them out, and Tuesday 4th June the new at Immediate Past Master, Chris Allen, and his Installation Court and Luncheon Vintners’ Hall IPM, Mark Gower-Smith have funded a beautiful re- Monday 10th presentation June 2019 and they are now resplendent in frames with tobacco leaves (or close to); Sandra also Livery Golf Day carved at Tandridge located a huge banner not seen since 1985 and Angus Tuesday 11th Menzies, June 2019 Clerk to the Master Mariners and never shy Tobacco Trade Sponsored of Charity Lunch saw at Lords a challenge to it that it was displayed on the Quarterdeck. Monday 24th June 2019 Whilst of all this was going on, apparently biblical- Common Hall Election Sheriffs style downpours were being had all over London (Liverymen only. Apply to Clerk for tickets.) - oblivious to all that drama we ended our lunch Thursday 27th and June trooped 2019 back to the quarterdeck where Coffee, Cigars, and Cognac awaited us (I did mention that 400th Anniversary Celebrations of the Founding of the First Company Livery enjoyed dining on the High C’s..) and Service at Temple Church followed by our a Reception in Middle Temple Hall which seemed to hit the mark – Liveryman Jemma Freeman had Wednesday 18th September 2019 kindly provided the torpedo cigars and only) had had them Wellington placed in souvenir tubes with our Autumn Court and Dinner (Court on HQS Crest emblazoned on it.
