A NOTE FROM THE EDITOR

Keep dreaming !

And so begins another year , no wait - we are already a quarter of the way through 2017 ! Thank you for picking up this edition of the Little Pages , it ’ s our fi fth edition which means we have passed the year mark . I was days away from giving birth when we put together our fi rst edition , and now my little girls is 15 months old . I enjoyed reading the comments from other moms of one-year-olds on page eight as our ‘ Real Moms ’ topic is ’ the fi rst year ’. If I had to provide an answer to what my highlights of the fi rst year have been , I would mention marvelling once again at the tremendous development of a child within that fi rst year of life . I also really enjoyed the article from Anabel Stindt ( our mommy writer ) on page 10 . She shares her thoughts on fi nding contentment as a stay-at-home mom . Although I am a working mom , I found points of connection in what she says . As moms , we are all on different journeys but we share in common the challenge of navigating the road of trying to fi nd personal fulfi llment while desperately desiring the best for our children . It ’ s a tough balance and whether we fi nd ourselves working or at home with the kids , I believe that we all deserve to fi nd the space within our busy lives to think about our own needs . Even if for now it ’ s just thinking , let ’ s keep dreaming moms ! We deserve it . Our cover story is about a young woman who is following a dream and making the dreams of local ice-cream lovers come true . Although Hannah is not yet a mom herself , I love sharing stories of anyone who has stepped out on a dream and taken a risk to do something slightly ‘ out of the box ’. I hope you enjoy the article about Han-made ice cream along with the rest of this edition of the Little Pages .
