ATHLETICS As we closely work with administration and the county to monitor the challenge of our field having turned into a lake we will be modifying our PE program to make sure that we still accomplish our goals for this year. There is nothing like challenges to force innovation! Do not worry, the OSOTA tradition of the Great Turkey Race at Thanksgiving will still occur just around a track instead of on our field. Please stay tuned for a more in depth update as soon as we know more info regarding the field. We have developed some short and long term contingency plans based on what the county tells us in the next 2 weeks. PHYSICAL EDUCATION CREATES HEALTHY BODIES WITH HAPPY HEARTS. Please let Coach Mariah or I know if there is any way we can serve you or your family. We are honored to work with your scholars every day to help them develop character. Thank you for your support so far this school year. Sorry, we are not starting a swim or crew team, but our soccer program from kindergarten through high school is making progress. I'm proud to announce that our 4th 7th grade team made it to the semi finals this year! It has been such a great experience watching all the teams at the games and practices. I don't cry, but it brings a tear to my eyes like a proud father to see our scholars progression in how far they have come in such a short amount of time. It's definitely due to the great coaching by Demel Gonzalez and Tim Waisanen.  Also, thank you for the support and help of Stan Miller, Leon LaChance, and Tommica Louissaint. They have been essential to keeping the wheels rolling on our soccer program.
Go OSOTA Lions! -Coach Christopher Flash We just finished up our Varsity and Junior Varsity Soccer tryouts. We have also started a Flag Football team and just finished organizing a Open Gym Basketball night where the first 5 to arrive will receive a FREE basketball training session from an official Orlando Magic Trainer. Players are being evaluated with hopes to build a One School Basketball team. With time and hard work the goal is to play other schools in the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA). Thank you for your support with this vision. It will come to fruition with all us working together for our children.
Our P. E. and weight lifting classes have had some donations and I would like to express my gratitude to the Van Doren family and Coach Buffy Shoener for donating equipment—what a blessing to our scholars and school. 9
