His mother had remembered all she could, but it had been years since she’d been able to visit it. He’d had everything double checked, then he’d written his brother’s name on a hand- made cross and put it in the ground himself. Damn groundskeeper had come along a week later and mown it down. After this, Jim had said he’d get a headstone. The cheapest he could find was already in the hundreds, then there was the cemetery fee- I can afford an inscription, he thought.
