1ST ANNUAL DECEMBER NATIONAL PRE-DEPARTURE ORIENTATION A SUCCESS!
YFU USA recently welcomed 15 young people from across the U.S. to its new National Headquarters
for the first annual December National Pre-Departure Orientation.  Similar to NPDO held this past June, the
three-day event allowed students to meet each other, prepare for their year and semester programs, hear
stories from alumni, and learn more about YFU’s mission, history, and worldwide network of community and
support. The students are traveling to Germany, Japan, Finland, New Zealand, Korea, Italy, and France
for the spring semester.  We wish them all the best on their upcoming exchanges and look forward to them
sharing their stories in upcoming issues.

MID-ATLANTIC FIELD VOLUNTEERS MEET AT YFU’S NEW EDUCATION CENTER
A group of volunteers gathered at YFU USA’s new National Headquarters for a day of training, sharing
and team building. The volunteers enjoyed hearing from President & CEO Michael Hill, a number of
experienced volunteers and local staff. We look forward to many more volunteer gatherings in this fantastic
new site!
