YFU GERMANY ALUMNI GIVE BACK IN THE FOUNDERS’ DISTRICT
The Founders’ District, which includes Michigan and Indiana, welcomed the generosity of four alumni
from YFU Germany who volunteered for YFU USA while on vacation this summer in the United States.
Visiting former host families and friends in the Ann Arbor area, Dennis, Merle, Philipp, and Johnny staffed
tables, helped out at post-arrival orientations, gave classroom presentations, and even made YFU buttons!

Merle and Philipp successfully recruiting host families at Williamston High School. This is Merle’s second visit back to Ann Arbor after her
exchange year. She said she wants to make sure people know that “this doesn’t end”.
