The Fur Trade at British Michilimackinac

East, will discuss

his new book, which explores the life of British merchant John Askin and the fur trade he built between 1758-1781 in the Great Lakes Region. His talk will explore how Askin's successful trade was impacted by the British Empire's conflicts and mismanagements during the height of the American Revolution.
