Australia loses another Canna Warrior …. Vale Richelle Lincoln 1987 – 2018
( 13 th December 1987 - 13 th July 2018 ) This is one of the hardest things I ' ve ever had to write .
Words seem inadequate . This morning the world lost a beautiful woman .
This morning Richelle passed away and the Sun lost some of its shine .
Many , many in the cannabis community loved Richelle . Her compassion , strength and integrity knew no bounds . Having survived Leukaemia and the loss of their beautiful baby girl Angel ; David and Richelle - a formidable team were then blessed miraculously with their two beautiful babies , both a true testament of their love for each other . Their determination to make their world , our world a better place in a world that had previously shown them no mercy was nothing but admirable . Richelle was fearless and a loud voice in the truth about cannabis medicine . Such a young woman but a fighter as big as Ali ; nothing would stand in the way of Richelle speaking her truth . There are many within our community that would not be the proud advocates we are today had it not been for Richelle ' s brazen at times honesty regarding our plant . Guided and supported by her mum Deb and partner David , the stunning , petite blonde beauty we all loved defied Doctors , argued in the face of prohibition and did it all with that beautiful smile . I ask you all today , to stop and give thanks to the woman who gave so much . The woman we all miss so greatly and to honour her the best way we can - to continue our fight against prohibition and continue to speak our truth about our plant to all those that cross our path , as Richelle did time and time again . We need to do this with integrity and kindness , unified for all of those that have gone before us but led the way to get us where we are today . In closing , on behalf of the Cannabis Community I want to send an abundance of love and support to Deb , David and the whole of Richelle ' s family . We stand by your sides sending strength and giving thanks for the privilege of knowing the amazing woman that you call daughter and partner . We love you Richelle . Rest in paradise with your Angel .
