Personal Story – Mark Helinios – USA (March 2018) I give my Yorkie CBD oil on a daily basis. I first started doing it when he had a abscessed tooth that caused him to get really sick with infection. Had him on antibiotics for a couple of weeks before the vets could pull some teeth, and he was just lethargic as all hell, I was convinced he wasn’t going to make it. I was crushed as he was my deceased mothers dog so it was hitting me rather hard. Since I started his regime, and got his teeth pulled he has made a remarkable recovery, and is back to acting the way he was pre health issue. I told my vet my plan to use the CBD oil, and she was totally on board with the plan, and stated that she gives it to her pets. It’s helped him regain his appetite which was crap when he was feeling bad, the poor fella. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to maintain a happy healthy life for their pet. Do Horses have an endo cannabinoid system? Like humans and all other mammals, horses have an endocannabinoid system. Cannabinoid receptors (known as CB1 and CB2) help regulate a wide range of bodily functions in the equine, including pain relief, inflammation, gastrointestinal disorders, mood and more. Nothing that you can feed your horse (non-drug) on a daily basis reduces inflammation like cannabidiol (CBD). Enhancing your horse’s endocannabinoid system (EDS) with CBD so that they can better control an inflammatory response using their own internal mechanism for doing so is the most exciting new advancement in natural pain management in modern times. If there is one supplement ingredient that every horse should be on it is overwhelmingly CBD. CBD is being used on a range of equine health related issues, including: • Inflammation & Pain • Muscle Relaxant (tying up, contracted muscles due to soreness or injuries) • Gastrointestinal Issues (ulcers, inflammation of GI tract) • Anti-Anxiety (calming nervous and high strung horses) • Overall Health Maintenance (keeping the endocannabinoid system functioning optimally helps maintains homeostasis in the equine) • Immune System Enhancement (preventative against sickness and disease) • Anti-Nausea (horse transport/shipping) Like humans, all horses are different, so some experimentation is required to discover what works best for your horse. THE FACTS ABOUT CBD Cannabidiol (CBD) is a non-psychoactive compound found in the cannabis. Over the last decade researchers have uncovered numerous health related benefits attributed to the use of CBD. The compound appears to have strong anti-inflammatory properties as well as therapeutic benefits for a very wide range of ailments. There is a fundamental difference between THC and CBD, and although THC is the part that many users enjoy the most, CBD contains the most medicinal benefits. Of course, all marijuana contains CBD, but science has allowed us to create strains of marijuana high in CBD and with basically zero THC levels. That means that you can use CBD every day for its incredible medicinal benefits without experiencing the psychoactive effects.
