The PREP Fund, meaning(People Reaching Exemplary People), was founded by a God's fearing woman Ms, Decontee Jackson. The PREP Fund is a 501 (C) (3) non profit organization, and every donations you make help build people. Ms jackson believe that "A great future takes great prepping." The mission of the PREP Funds is to raise funds for supplemental programs that enchancethe educational, occupational, and socio-cultural development of the youths. And the vision of the PREP funds is to be a resource of professionals prepared through conventional and supplemental educational, occupational and socio-cultural programs to effect positive changes in their communities, nations and the world. The PREP Fund comprises two distinct programs: the BrightStar Program and the LifeStar Program. The BrightStar Pragram is an initiative that partners with local and regional churches to recognize and reward the efforts of young people from 5 to 18 years in areas such as but not limited to, School and Church Attendance, Academics, Behiavior, Tidiness, Sports, The Arts, Discourse, Leadership, and Stewardship. The program seeks to reine young people into conscious Christian leaders by emphasizing social responsibilit, structure, and an appreciation for civic and cultural institutions. The next program is the LifeStar Program, and this program addreses the educational and occupational concerns of Liberian youths living back home. After 14yrs of living through a bloddy and disruptive civil war, hundereds of thousand of Liberian youths lack the requisite instruction and refinement of the critical school years. Consequently, many of them have outgrown their grade levels and feel rather misplaced in traditional classroom setting. Therefore, the LifeStar Program identifies innate gifts and talents these youths possess and structures individualized educational and occupational goals around their talents and gifts. At the completion of their programs, these youths would have acquired new life skills and traning in areas they already love. Traning programs include Cooking, Baking, Interior Decoration, Sewing, Carpentry, Plumbing, Painting, Sculpture, Music, and Sports(Football, Basketball, Baseball, Track and Field etc.) The non-profit organization wil be funded through Primarily funding methods like, Donations, Grants, Literary, Contest, Arts, Exhibitions, Plays, Musical Concert, Inter-Church Sporting Events, Tlent Expos, Food and Craft Bazaar, and the annual PREP Awards Banquet Fundraiser.
