Catering News Mathematics Homework Club Having difficulties using mymaths at home? We have a new exciting menu starting on 2nd November 2015! We are offering new meal deals and encouraging students to purchase these. We like to promote healthy eating at The Kimberley School and all of our meals have been nutritionally balanced for the needs of the age range of our students. Any students with any medical dietary needs, can all parents/carers please let Mrs Burton know if you want her to cater for your child. All nutritional information can be found in our canteen and in the menus provided. Struggling to complete homework tasks? Need help creating a cheat sheet? Then come to Maths Homework Club! Every lunchtime (12.20-12.50) in Room C2. We are looking for all our students to be using the Squid online method of payment for food. If you do send your child with money, please note that the reval money machines will NOT take notes, 10p or 5p coins. If you would like a Squid letter for your child, please get in touch. You will be able to check what your child is eating and put a limit on what they are spending. Year 11 Football Year 11 football team have started the season with excellent victories in both cup competitions beating Bramcote School 10-0 in the South Nottinghamshire Cup and a far closer contest was fought in the County Cup with the Beckett School. The match ended 1-1 after normal time then 2-2 after extra before winning 4-2 on penalties. Mr Clark Mrs Burton Chef Manager Students have just started to rehearse for this year’s Christmas production, ‘A Night at the Movies’. Here is a photo of our Nurture Group, taking the first crop of this term’s fruit and veg to the kitchens, as part of our collaboration with Nurture Group. Ruth Golton Year 7 Nurture Teacher The D&T Faculty is in need of the following materials: Celebration, Hero, Quality Street biscuit tins etc. wool and fabric. A big thank you for the donations we have received previously; they have been very useful! D&T MATERIALS It is a KS3/4 showcase over 2 nights, looking at scenes, songs, dance interpretations of famous clips from films of years gone by. Highlights will include ‘Step in Time’, the Mary Poppins ‘Chimney’ dance, the ‘fight’ scene from Romeo and Juliet, Robin Hood; Prince of Thieves, HarryPotter, Scream, Life of Pi, A Silent Movie and many more! The show is on Wednesday 2nd & Thursday 3rd December. We hope you come along to see it!
