Parking Courteously Parents / Carers , from time to time we receive complaints from residents on Newdigate Street due to parking issues . Please remain mindful of our neighbours and their property when parking to drop off / pick up students from school .
Severe Weather Announcements

Throughout the cold season we monitor the weather , including via the Met Office website . During bad weather we will post information on the severe weather page as conditions change .
We always aim to keep the school open . You should , therefore , not assume that the school will be closed in the event of bad weather . If a decision is made to close the school , a message will be posted on this website and communicated through local radio stations :
• BBC Radio Nottingham ( 103.8 ) • Capital FM ( 96.2 ) • GEM 106FM ( 106.0 ) Please note that these radio stations and this website are the only credible sources of this information .
During bad weather , please DO NOT telephone the school unless your call is of an urgent nature . Our telephone system cannot cope with high call volumes and staff may be attempting to call in or out . Alternatively , you can email office @ kimberleyschool . co . uk .
Updates will be posted on this webpage at regular intervals . At times our website server can become busy and slow . Keep refreshing your page until the information appears ( the F5 key is a quick way of doing this ). If you have difficulties accessing the website , listen out for announcements on the radio .
Design & Technology Request
When you have finished tucking into all of your lovely Christmas chocolates , could you please send us your empty Celebration , Hero , Quality Street , biscuit tins etc . to the Design & Technology Faculty to use with their food technology classes .
Also , if you have any spare wool or fabrics , the textiles department can always put them to good use .
A big thank you for the donations we have received previously ; they have been very useful !

Last Day of Term Arrangements :
The school will close at the end of Period 3 ( 12:20pm ) on the last day of this term , Tuesday 20th December . Buses have been arranged to pick up those students who would normally travel home by bus .
School meals will be served for breakfast and break time but there will be no lunchtime service on offer . If you receive a Free School Meal allowance , this can be received at break time ( 11.05 ).
Please Note : There is an INSET Day on Wednesday 4 th , students are due to return to
school on Thursday 5 th January on Week A .
