Joyeux Noël! Feliz Navidad!
Fröhliche Weihnachten!
Year 7 pupils at The Kimberley School
have been designing French, German
and Spanish Christmas cards as part of
a European Christmas Card exchange
project with our primary feeder schools.
Year 5 and 6 pupils from Larkfields,
Gilthill, Hollywell, Awsworth and
Mornington School have been busy
designing cards in all shapes and sizes
in the hope of winning best Christmas
card. Winners will be voted for by the
Kimberley students and displayed in
the school foyer. Mrs Moss, who is
organising the project together with
colleagues from the Primary School
Languages Network, said, ‘It’s been a
wonderful opportunity to get creative
and engage in a project with local
primary schools using a foreign
language.” Patrick Howard (Year 7)
said,’ we have really enjoyed learning
French Christmas words such as ‘Le
Bonhomme de neige’ , which means
snowman.’ Jennie Gibb (Year 7) said,
‘I love doing crafts and it’s been great
to make a Christmas card in French’.

Struggling with what to wear this Christmas?
I was searching through some past papers when I came across an old
school newsletter. I thought I’d share Juliet Trout’s fashion page with you…
Whether you choose to take Juliet’s advice or not,
I wish you all a very happy and peaceful Christmas.
