It was like: “Oh. If it’s shutting this door, and this door, and this door, but that’s my next evolution then it’s time to let that go.” So, I think the vision’s coming together. I’ve always loved and followed Oprah my whole life, but that doesn’t mean that I aspire to be on TV, or to have that big an influence, because I want to figure out what that means for me. I want to serve a lot of people but I don’t necessarily want to be famous, if that makes sense. So I’m still figuring that out. But my bigger vision’s always about empowering as many women across the globe as possible around their money, because I know that that has such a positive impact on the planet when women have more money. So, it’s just made me bring that stuff a little bit more to the center of my business rather than it being a private goal. Kharisma: Awesome. That’s pretty amazing. And I really love where you’re going with your new brand. So what would you say to a woman entrepreneur who’s been wanting to make a shift of scale or scale the business to a different level, but has been doing something that has worked - like you’ve experienced - and is afraid to pull the trigger. What would you say to her? Denise: It doesn’t have to be all or nothing. I think that’s important as well, is that you don’t have to blow up your whole life and your whole business. Keep what’s working, and just tweak a few things as you go. It’s totally okay to evolve. It’s totally okay to change and grow. And I mean, you look at Madonna, right? She’s changed her image every couple of years, but the core of Madonna is still the same. Sometimes, the outward stuff changes and that’s okay. The other thing I want to say is that not everyone goes on the journey with you. People who liked you at the start of your journey, some of them will evolve, as in, they’ll go along the journey with you. Other people they’ll just go, “You know what? She was in my life for a season,” and they’ll leave. And you can’t be afraid of that because all you can do is just get truer and truer to who you truly are and that’s going to feel really great. Kharisma: That’s awesome. Is there anything that may be presented to you that you may not be open to consider? Denise: Y e a h . I always filter things through, like, how I want to live my life. I’ve got two young children. I want to have more kids. And so there’s certain opportunities that I could do but they would make my life a bit harder. So I often say ‘no’ to travel, and I say ‘no’ to speaking gigs and things like that, because they just don’t fit in my current lifestyle. And it’s the same with things like doing TV. I really don’t aspire to get up at four o’clock every morning to be in hair and makeup to sit on a morning TV show. That stuff just does not interest me at all. And also, I think my introvert side does not like it either. Yeah. So I’m okay to saying ‘no’ to stuff these days, but I think sometimes I should say ‘yes’ a little bit mor
