R Nimisha Maria Cletus 12 B When the whole world sleeps, Silently the white shadow treads, Upon the dusty paths, trees and flowers bloomed. Falling on the window sills, Spreading all the winter chills, The bringer of frost drapes her snowy coat. Oblivious to the inevitable change, The sleeper sees the dreams so strange, While the snow reveals its secrets great. Twirling her ice sceptre in November, The heir of seasons duly arrives, While the fallen autumn bids adieu. Only a few catch a glimpse, As the frosty flakes slips, Until dunes and frozen lakes are remnant. As I walk through the wet grass I hear the sweet melody of birds I watch the cute little sparrows pass And I think to myself, nature is indeed wonderful! The patter of rain rings in my ear, I see the rabbits hop to their burrows Birds fly back to their young ones dear I am enchanted by the huge mountains and mesmerized by the sea. Nature is dear to one and all Her pretty flowers, her beautiful butterflies It is our duty to take care of nature No matter what it takes. Unseen befalls the crowning of the new monarchy, As covered in blankets unaware of the glory, The snow-clad city sleeps. global public school Ananya James Augustine 8 E 52
