AGM and more at
The Lakes International Comic Art Festival
17 -19 October
The CCGB is heading to Kendal in
October to hold our AGM and a have
fantastic weekend away at the The Lakes
International Comic Art Festival. It’s going
to be a fantastic weekend of Talks, Events,
Films, Exhibitions, Signings, Comic art trails,
Workshops, Masterclasses and Family events
all over the town. We’ll all be meeting up a
various time over the weekend so if even
you’ve never been to a club event before
this is the perfect time to come along and
join in.
Comics Clock Tower all weekend promoting
the club, signing up prospective new
members, selling books and merchandise
and maybe even a bit of live drawing. If you’d
like your books, comics or any related items
to be for sale on the CCGB table at the
festival please get in touch quickly. (Also
tell us if you’d like to help out on the table
for an hour or two.) We’ll use the table
as contact point for any members to come
and say hello and find out when we are
meeting up over the weekend.
AGM Details
This year our AGM meeting will be held
at the Comics Clock Tower (Kendal Town
Hall), in the South Lakeland District Council
Chamber, on Saturday 18th October from
5pm to 6:30pm. There will plenty of Festival
staff there to direct you if you can’t find it.
After the meeting, most of us will be heading
out for an informal meal and a drink.
Kendal will be extremely busy over the
weekend so we advise you book your
accommodation as soon as possible if you
haven’t already.There are a variety of hotels,
B&Bs, cottages and Apartments in and
around the town. If you have any difficulties
visit the CCGB forum or Facebook page
for advice.
