Course Spotlight Ghost Creek Course at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club The Ghost Creek Course is a public course at the award-winning Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club outside of Portland, Oregon. It hosted the LPGA’s Safeway Classic presented by Coca-Cola from 2009-13 as well as the U.S. Women’s Open in 1997 and 2003. The par-71 course was ranked No. 68 by Golf Digest in 2007-08. No. 14 also was named on an infamous list of Golf’s 100 Toughest Holes published in 2005 by Chris Millard. The 6,839-yard course was designed by Robert E. Cupp and John Fought and opened in 1992, when it was named as the best new public course of the year by Golf Digest. The Insider // September 2014
