Part 4

The online video THE ART OF VIDEO GAMES: "INSPIRATION" EXHIBITION VIDEO by Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM) is about game designers talking about the inspirations that were used in digital games (Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM), online video, 2012). One of the digital game developers was Jesse Schel who talked about how limitless imaginations used on Dungeons and Dragons game board to bring inspirational ideas into games (Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM), online video, 2012). Jenova Chen is also in the video about how there no difference between digital and traditional art is because they are different technology invented for expressive (Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM), online video, 2012). The only problem with this video is not giving references of any art movement because the video is more expressive than inspiration. The video is more related to the book How Games Move Us Emotion By Design by Katherine Isbister, it’s not very much of an art influence.
