Get your frocks ready and your dance shoes on! No Limit Management will be hosting the first of many Dreamtime Awards. The Dreamtime Awards will recognise excellence in Sports, Arts, Community and Academics on the 17 November in Sydney.

“In the mainstream, we have many award nights highlighting excellence in their chose profession The Logies, the actors award etc. In this case, it’s no different. Our awards nights aim to highlight how successful Aboriginal people across such varied fields”, organiser Matt Rose says.

“The Dreamtime Awards provides a platform to highlight all the great things Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are doing, and provides a gathering place for us to come together to celebrate these achievements. It’s so important we promote positivity and show off our great role models in Education, Business, Media, Community, Arts, Sports and Entertainment.”

The annual event is being organised by 100% Aboriginal owned and controlled companies, “this partnership will help ensure a quality event catering to all in attendance,” Mr Rose says.

Feeling a gap in the industry and on the Aboriginal calendar, hosting this event has been talked about for years between the Aboriginal companies involved. “This year there was so many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people achieving greatness we had to make it happen.”

Place the Dreamtime Awards on your annual calendar as the plans to grow each year are in the woodworks. At this stage the event will be held in Sydney, but with the awards being a national focus there are plans to move the events from major city to major city as the event grows in the future.

You can get your tickets via the Dreamtime website www.dreamtimeawards.com.au with tables ranging from $2,500 (general) to $6,000 (VIP). You will receive ticket entry, a 3 course meal and alcohol beverage packages, plus the nights entertainment including some of the best Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander musicians, comedians and stars of TV, film, and sports live on stage.
