FEATURE INTERVIEW Survival Horror, Indeed by Vinny Parisi O ne of the most difficult things for us at IGM, from the reporting side of the industry, is seeing a passionate team who really believe in their game fail to captivate an interested audience. In the case of Pulsetense Games, their project Solarix has been in development for almost four years. They brought their vision to Kickstarter, at a fairly modest goal of just £10,000 (~13k USD), but were unsuccessful in reaching even the halfway mark, with less than 400 backers signed on to their cause. Solarix is a first-person survival horror game mixed into a sci-fi setting, where the futuristic, albeit dilapidated, halls invoke an air of tension reminiscent of the early entries in the Dead Space trilogy. The game, much like the team’s development journey, is prime material for an interesting
