Prepare for the Invasion

hope you’re prepared, Nexians, as the
latest huge patch went live on WildStar
this month, and a boat-load of content
just hit servers in the form of Invasion: Nexus. It’s been a good long while since we’ve
had a drop this big, and Carbine managed
to deliver some amazing new content for
every aspect of the game.

Firstly we have the Bay of Betrayal, a brand
new type of adventure where players take
on the role of the mind-melding, Eldancontrolling acolyte Technopath who are locked
in a race against groups of competitors with
the same goal. Mastering new powers in a
fresh adventure is a nice change of pace from
the older and more well-played characters.

The Basin is a new zone filled with rotating
daily quests where players face fresh challenges as differing factions battle for control
of the Basin. From the Grimvoid Marauders
to the Purewater Ikthians, players must stay
on their toes as they try to keep the Basin
under their control.

person raids to be opened on Nexus. The
good news is there’s no attunement; this
time around players will be able to join their
friends right away to check out the raid. There
is an optional quest line in the Defile that
opens the raid for those lore-hounds that still
prefer a little background and prologue, too.
Initialization Core Y-83 is also what is known
as a ‘Boss-In-A-Box’ raid, or lair for those
more accustomed to World of Warcraft. This
means that there’s a single boss in the raid
for groups to master. A raid like this should
nicely compliment the more massive style
raids already found in WildStar, offering
newcomers the chance to learn what it means
to be part of a raid team.

Beyond the Bay of Betrayal, the next content Contracts are also new this patch, and much like
