For our walk, we had a record number of 43 ladies joining us! It was
particularly nice to welcome a lot of new club members who had recently
moved to the area. The walk itself is quite hilly and fairly arduous, but it is
simple to navigate and clearly way-marked throughout.
The walk begins at North Quarry car park
(postcode WR14 4LT), close to Malvern Link.
We walked south along the ridge towards the
Worcestershire Beacon, continuing south to
Upper Wyche.
Some of the faster
ladies made it up
to Herefordshire
Beacon and
beyond to
Midsummer Hill.
This section
includes beautiful
views westwards
to Eastnor Obelisk
in Ledbury.
The walk was long and hilly, but it was a good
challenge for all of us. We were rewarded by
lovely weather, gorgeous Malvern landscapes,
and a fantastic meal in The Malvern Hill Hotel
(postcode WR13 6DW) afterwards.
