Tate Britain presents a
major retrospective of
the legendary British
photographer Sir Don
McCullin.
Renowned as one of
Britain’s greatest living
photojournalists, McCullin
has captured images of
conflict from around the
world including Vietnam,
Northern Ireland, Lebanon
and Biafra.
With over 250 photographs,
all printed by the artist
himself in his own darkroom,
this exhibition is a unique
opportunity to see the
scope and achievements of
McCullin’s career.

is a week-long programme
of choral and orchestral
concerts, as well as solo

The Cheltenham Jazz
Festival returns in 2019
with its trademark mix of
the very best classic and
contemporary jazz, soul,

This year’s festival will host
an array of world premieres,

Hereford, Gloucester and
Worcester.
It is the oldest non-
competitive classical
music festival in the world,
celebrating its 300th
anniversary in 2015.
This year’s programme
includes over 70 events in
and around Gloucester, with
performers of all ages taking
the stage alongside world-
class orchestras.

emerging talent from around
the globe – as well as
over 90 free events in the
streets, bars and clubs of
Cheltenham.
Tewkesbury
Medieval Festival
Tewkesbury 13 – 14 July
Modern-day knights in
shining armour will feel at
home in historic Tewkesbury
– as the Gloucestershire
town welcomes visitors to its
impressive Medieval Festival.
The event includes a re-
enactment of the 1471 Battle
of Tewkesbury, attracting
thousands of costumed
enthusiasts.
It’s free to visit, but expect
to pay for car parking. Or you
could always mount your
trusty steed. Tewkesbury
is just 9 miles from Imjin
Barracks.
