.“I’ve played art museums and outdoor music festivals, rocks clubs and wineries, back yards and living rooms,” Wisnia said. “Everything from the lighting and seating arrangement, down to each individual audience member makes a difference, and playing a wide variety of venues has really taught me about the importance of creating atmosphere.

“The intimate spaces allow for really great audience engagement, in-depth storytelling, and a very personalized show,” Wisnia said.

Wisnia has some sage advice to offer other musicians and songwriters. “Do not worry about pleasing the masses,” he said. “Be aware of what’s out there, be aware of what people are listening to, but concentrate on making the music aware of what’s out there, be aware of what people are listening to, but concentrate on making the music you want to make, and keep working at it.

There is an audience for everything out there.

“And especially with the way the internet has changed the distribution and consumption of music, you can find the people who will like what you do,” he continued.

“If you believe in what you do, and you put yourself out there, your music will find a home.”
