Charlie, you were in a band called The Bigfellas? Do you still play in this band or are you now going to do more albums with Leaders In The Clubhouse?

Gonna keep doing both. There's plenty of time for doing what you want in life. People who say they're too busy to see their family or play basketball are lying ... there's time.

Shay, the drummer from The Bigfellas, really is the other half of The Bigfellas and he moved up to Portland. So now we're a multi-state band. I love driving up with my dog, playing solo on my way up, we've got local players there and play all over Oregon and Washington when I'm there. I love it.

We're not plugged in or known to their scene, but always seem to get gigs, have the time of our lives playing there. And people attend local shows better up there than in Southern California. The Bigfellas have about 25 songs written in the can, 4 of them already recorded. This Fall and Winter we will do our recording, mixing and get that stuff out in 2016. So many plans there, could be two records, plus a goofy Christmas EP, and also our alter ego bad jazz band ("The GT3"). We can apply everything I've been learning for promotion with Leaders In The Clubhouse to The Bigfellas. And I'll have some digital only releases solo.

I got a lot of music and songs sitting around, I've just got to get them out in a real way more than just anonymously posting YouTube videos to nobody. If a song falls in the forest and doesn't get heard, it doesn't make a sound.

To finish a long answer to a simple question, yes Leaders In The Clubhouse are going to put out more music. I think our best song is one we didn't cut called "Lifeboat"- it really should have a female singer and doesn't naturally fit with the debut album, "Won".

Spud….so love that name! First of all, I would like to know why you have that name and secondly, do you come from another band?

This is where I don't like answering for Spud but c'est la vie. He's had a lot of bands, but Toy Music was probably the best known.
