TYRONE MARSHALL

Tyrone is a Welsh based singer/songwriter of mainstream pop/rock material.

Born in Caerphilly, South Wales, he moved to Lancashire with the rest of his family at the age of 3 and whilst there learned piano from age 11, moving onto guitar aged 17. Around this time he joined the first of three bands he would sing and co-write in.

Tyrone has appeared on stage regularly since his early teens. Firstly, in Lancashire with his father Brian, who was an established professional singer himself, previously signed to Philips International in the 70’s (touring with Dame Shirley Bassey & The Marmalade) and making numerous TV & Radio appearances including live sessions on BBC Radio Wales’ Evening Show.

More recently, he has performed on national TV and various venues large and small (including festivals), playing a diverse mixture of covers and his own material, sometimes totally ‘unplugged’.

In 2011, Tyrone also began performing a solo tribute to John Lennon and in 2012 joined forces with Chris Maule to perform Lennon & McCartney tribute gigs across the UK and beyond.

When not performing live, Tyrone spends his time writing and recording his own material, to date he has created a collection of well over three hundred songs. The lyrics of a tribute song he wrote about the late Marilyn Monroe “Do You Dream of Norma Jean” were published in the UK

based fanzine “The Marilyn Lives Society” (MLS).

In 2006, Tyrone signed with Croydon based music publishers, World Domination Music Ltd who are promoting a selection of his songs to a wide range of writers, music supervisors, ad agencies, TV stations and others.

His various influences include; The Beatles, The Kinks, U2, Crowded House, Cat Stevens, Neil Finn, Ryan Adams, Del Amitri, Bread, Semisonic, Keane and Travis.
