Muscle Shoals, Alabama-born singer, songwriter and producer Erik Smallwood is one of Fayetteville, NC’s finest artists, with a 10-year career that includes sharing the stage with national acts, festivals, award nominations, film contributions, the respect of his peers and, now, new music that you might say is inspired by the water in his hometown.
Smallwood just released his highly anticipated single “Water in my Hometown” in September 2015. The Sweeter Music Group release is the rare country/southern rock record anxiously awaited by listeners everywhere.
Erik moved to North Carolina in 2006, and has developed a strong following of fans, because of his very unique performance style. Blessed with an ear for catchy melodies and a quick wit on stage, Smallwood has and continues to earn respect in numerous restaurants, bars, pubs as well as on big stages opening for major acts like Joe Diffie, Jason Isbell, Shooter Jennings, Jason Michael Carroll and many others.
He’s also been nominated for 5 Carolina Music Awards and won in 2012 for Best Country Male. Smallwood has also won several songwriting competitions, and just took home Up and Coming Magazines Best Entertainer in 2014.
