David has worked in the music business for over 40 years, for such companies as DJM, Decca & MAM Records, Billboard/Music & Media and other music industry publications, before launching SongLink International in 1993.
SongLink is the world's leading resource for songwriters, composers & music publishers, helping them pitch their songs to artists around the world with many successes over the past 22 years, while sister publication Cue sheet provides details of Film/TV/Media projects requiring original music or songs. SongLink has helped such names as Christina Aguilera, N 'Sync, Tom Jones, Cliff Richard and many other top names find songs, as well as major names all over Europe and other territories.

David Stark has also acted as an official research consultant to the Ivor Novello Awards and the World Music Awards, and is a member of the voting academy of the Brit Awards. In October 1995 he received a BASCA Gold Badge Award for outstanding services to the UK song writing community, and has served as a jury member at international song contests and industry events all over the world. He also presents the annual SongLink Prizes each year at LIPA (Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts) with Sir Paul McCartney, who made him a ‘companion of LIPA’ in 2006. He's also co-author of the book 'Inspirations - The Stories Behind The Songs' and a founding partner of the Unisong Song Contest which ran for several years, and has built SongLink into a worldwide brand used by thousands of music professionals - hence his reputation as the man who knows (almost!) everyone in the business.
David is also an occasional songwriter/producer himself, and plays drums with the Trembling Wilburys tribute band.
