When it comes to Marlon Wayans , not too many folks aren ’ t familiar with the comedian , actor , writer , and producer . After all , it wasn ’ t too long ago when Marlon hit the big screen as an actor in such films as I ' m Gonna Git You Sucka , Mo ' Money , and Above the Rim and it seems like he has been on big screen ever since . What many don ’ t know is that Marlon has been writing and creating roles for himself almost since he started because if he didn ’ t he might have had to wait forever to get an acting gig ; not because he ’ s not talented , but because there really is a long line of actors waiting and not working .
Did you notice that during all of this time he has never been on stage performing standup like his brother before him ? Quite frankly not too many people noticed . What we did notice is Marlon is always working , whether it be on film or television .
Well now , all of that is about to change .
According to Marlon in the following interview we conducted , he ’ s prepping a new stand up special to coincide with his new show on NBC titled Marlon , about a newly divorced Dad trying to make it in the new world while still trying to be a family man to his kids , and his new Netflix film titled Naked where his character finds himself caught in a time loop , waking up naked in a hotel elevator over and over again while trying to make it to his upcoming wedding .
