Sadly, I had to leave London but now came the move to Shanghai. I knew that going to China was also going to be its own adventure. This was a huge culture shock. Hearing about how international Shanghai was, you would expect there to be some foreigners and English-speaking people. That’s when I got my wake-up call. There were none. The language barrier made this transition from my dream city to China even harder. Additionally, being vegetarian, it was a daily struggle to find food. As others started to arrive and classes began, it became a bit easier. We were able to be with our fellow Hultians and all struggle together! Once classes ended, we did minimal traveling and visited Beijing where we saw The Great Wall and continued onto Xian where the Terra-Cotta Warriors are. Before going to Xian, I knew that I would not want to come back to China but there was something else about Xian, hard to explain, which led me to a “growth mindset” and really

people I met from other campuses to the rich culture and food, London was paradise. One fond memory I have of London is visiting the London Eye. Now, when I was little, I had visited London but unable to go on the Eye. A day after I left, my parents had continued their trip and went without me. I had always been jealous and wanted to go on the landmark but this time around I made sure that I did and let me tell you, wow that’s a pretty view.

embracing what China had to offer. Leaving China was bittersweet, but I was ready to come back home to my family!

Lastly, after rotating to London and Shanghai, I realized that in such a short time, you gain amazing friends but then have to say goodbye knowing you won’t be able to see them for a while. Rotation was a dream come true and the reason why I choose Hult. During Rotation, I was able to meet new people within and outside of Hult, place myself in uncomfortable situations and end up becoming a better and stronger version of myself. Being able to attend classes for a short period and then travel all over the world was quite an experience. As, graduation sneaks up on us, I know I won’t be able to maintain friendships with everyone that I have met, but I know for sure that no matter when we all reconnect, it will be a damn good time. Thank you Hult and Hult Boston for giving me another place to call Home!
