Do you really have a marketing strategy on Instagram for your business?

Today, after reading the article “Why Instagram is the key to millennial tourism” published by the World Economic Forum, I had some thoughts I decided to share with you.
Last year, I visited Carlos and Joseana, a couple of friends, who are starting a small lodging business, in a beauty spot located in an emerging touristic area in south of Brazil. Their business idea is to offer small and cozy lodges in their property, a heavenly beautiful farm that has impressive nature beauties and breathtaking landscapes to contemplate.
After my staying, Joseana asked me: “please, give me your most sincere opinion about your experience here, so we can work to improve our place for our upcoming guests. What are your thoughts about in our place and lodges?”
I then reflected about the whole wonderful weekend I had there and tried to set apart the warm reception every good friend always provides, so I told her: “let’s think from the standpoint of your customers. What do people really want when traveling nowadays? Everyone seeks to have a single experience. Something that will not only stick to their minds, but also impress their friends on social media, especially, on Instagram”.

Following these reasoning, I kept telling them: “Your farm is unquestionably wonderful. You have beautiful trails, breathtaking landscapes and even a waterfall here. To enhance your guests’ experience, when setting up the new lodges, think not only about the comfort, but look carefully into small details, and carefully plan the position of the windows, so your customers will have the best landscape view; think about the internal decoration, in order to match with all environment and create the best scenario for amazing pictures of the landscapes. Think if everything is appealing to the moment they are experiencing there and if it will invite them to take that picture to be posted on Instagram and tag your place,
