Learn to cherish life before you do anything else. You’ll be surprised at how easy and happy everything else seems in comparison. Make lists of goals you’d like to achieve for each of these areas, i.e. tangible accomplishments that you think are representative of the desired levels of progress you want to make in each of these areas of your life. The objective is to actually be able to say where you see yourself at when you think you’re doing well in that particular area of your life. It could be a minimum score on a competitive test, like the GMAT, as part of your ‘career’ list. It could even be some specific time in the morning you think you need to get out of bed every day as part of your ‘routine’ list. It doesn’t matter. What does matter is whether your list of goals represents a true reflection of your heart’s desires, for therein lies your path to happiness. It should. Once you’ve made your lists, you’ll know what you need to do to get to where you want to be. It worked for me, and I believe it should for anybody who’s willing to give it a go. Just remember your priorities, what’s important comes first. Things like your career and your family are obviously more important than your pilates class or your Facebook News Feed. It’s always the simple that produces the marvelous. Life itself has always been a very straightforward deal. You need to work as hard as possible, be intelligent and persistent and never take no for an answer. You’ll win. It’s as easy as that. Life may not be perfect, but it is beautiful in its variety, unpredictability and uniqueness. Complicated By Fools
