Official winery
chosen
Pelee Island Winery has been chosen as the official
winery of the CARHA World Cup. It will be the
exclusive wine supplier for the tournament and all
the associated events, including the opening and
closing ceremonies.
The tournament will be held April 3 to 10, 2016
in Windsor. The event is expected to be a boost to
tourism in both the city and county.
The 2012 edition of the World Cup brought in
$13 million in economic impact for the host
community of Sault St. Marie. It’s estimated that
number will increase to $15 million for Windsor.
About 2,500 athletes from 120 teams and 15
countries will be staying in Windsor for the
week-long tournament.
