REMEMBRANCE DAY
OBSERVANCES
Sunday November 8
The Sunday parade hosted by the Royal
Canadian Legion will march off from Dieppe
Garden at 1:30 p.m. and the ceremony will
take place at the Cenotaph at 2 p.m.
Service begins at 2 pm and should last about
1 hour.
You are cordially invited to attend the Royal
Canadian Legion Branch 399 (Belle River)
Remembrance Day Parade and wreath laying
at the Cenotaph in Belle River beginning at
1 p.m.
Wednesday November 11
The HMCS Hunter will host a Remembrance
Day Ceremony at 11 a.m. at the Cenotaph
located at City Hall Square.
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 201 will
march from the Essex Legion Hall to Essex
United Church starting at 9:45 a.m. A service
at the cenotaph will be followed by a church
service, with a return to the Legion at
11:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome.
Colchester-Harrow Legion Branch 338 will
host the Annual Remembrance Day Parade
and Service at 1:30 p.m. with a parade from
the Legion to the new Cenotaph at Harrow
Veterans Memorial Park.
The Veterans Memorial Project Veterans
Appreciation Day event is where every
Veteran attending is treated (at no cost to
them) to dinner, entertainment, gifts, prizes,
and most of all camaraderie. Veterans can
pick up their FREE Ticket at various area
Legion Branches or at the office of the
Windsor Historical Society.
