Paint roller Can you imagine painting your entire house with a paint brush ? It would take days . Well , thanks to Toronto inventor Norman Breakey , you don ’ t have to . Breakey invented the paint roller in 1940 .
Garbage bags Harry Wasylyk , an inventor from Winnipeg invented the first plastic bag just after the Second World War . He made his first plastic bag in his kitchen and sold them to Winnipeg general hospital to line their garbage cans . Years later the bags became a household staple with one problem , they were filling up the landfills and take thousands of years to decompose . But , thanks to another Canadian inventor in 1971 the first biodegradable plastic was invented . Dr . James Guillet from Toronto , invented a plastic bag that will break down in direct sunlight .
WonderBra Louise Poirier a Quebec designer created the Wonderbra in 1963 . The lace push-up bra changed the future landscape of undergarments and pushed the Canadian brand into a multi-million dollar business by the end of the 1970s .

Trivial Pursuit While playing a game of Scrabble , Montreal Gazette photo editor Chris Haney , and Canadian Press sports editor Scott Abbott , created Trivial Pursuit . On the December 15 game night in 1979 , the pair discovered some of their Scrabble pieces missing and decided to make their own game .
