What is Honey Bee Vegan Meals & Treats and why should
our readers be excited?
Honey Bee Vegan Meals & Treats is currently a home-based
catering business geared to those on the go who are looking
for healthy meals or fresh baked goods but don’t have the time
needed to prepare them. We are also currently part of the
Downtown Windsor Farmer’s Market where we sell many of
our baked goods as well as hearty salads. Everything is made
from scratch (including the salad dressings) so there are no
preservatives added. Everything is Vegan Friendly and we are
currently working on some gluten free as well as
diabetic-friendly dessert items (two of our three salads as well
as many of our dinner items are gluten free already). We aim
to provide the highest quality food and desserts while keeping
our prices reasonable.
How is it different from the competition?
Honey Bee Vegan Meals & Treats is different from the
competition in that our menu is fully vegan and would
consider our meals and treats to be vegan comfort food.
Why did you choose the downtown market. as the
location?
We’re currently located at the Downtown Windsor Farmer’s
Market, located in Charles Clark Square, as a trial basis to see
how our products fare in Windsor before opening a café of our
own. Downtown is the best location as it is central to the entire
city and most people will make it down to the market at least
once during the twenty week season. We have been very well
received and are very excited to continue working towards our
goal of opening a café.
Does the name have a story behind it?
Honey Bee is the Greek meaning for my first name and,
though I am not Greek, I have always been fond of the
meaning. Emphasis on the bee and not the honey as none of
our products contain honey in them whatsoever.
