I've learned that there is more than pushing a button. You have to set your aperture, your ISO, your shutter speed, and so much more. Photojournalism has taught me how to capture the world's beauty.

When I first started photojournalism, I thought it was just about taking pictures. I was wrong. Taking photos is about seeing the world in a different perspective, and the beauty in the planet we live on.

At the beginning of photojournalism, I thought we would just take normal pictures. Now I can get good pictures. We've learned how to take different pictures.

New to the Fourth Grade CDS curriculum this year is a photojournalism course. The class, a collaboration between Mrs. Hunnicutt and Mr. Lancaster, first

teaches students the basics of digital photography and capturing images with impact, then asks them to write about the moments they caught on film.
