Aaron Grygiel is CDS’s new Director of Business Operations. After working in public accounting for several years, Aaron accepted a position with Villa Duchesne and found a home in the independent school world. He comes to CDS from Barat Academy, where he settled in even further to the private school niche—a place where he knows his expertise will be in demand and he can make a real difference.

While Aaron has made his career in numbers, when he’s not behind the finance desk he can be found outdoors. Some of Aaron’s favorite pastimes include boating, fishing,

kayaking, cycling on the Katy Trail

Mallika Raman remembers the moment she knew she wanted to become a teacher—in Kindergarten! She credits a great teacher for this revelation, a woman who would allow her students to take home special science kits each weekend (she remembers one of her favorites was a lesson on prisms) and even hosted a pool party for Mallika and her classmates who completed all their homework during the year.

Mallika feels fortunate to have had a number of other great teachers who were patient, passionate about learning, and always willing to help. At CDS, she hopes to model her Fourth – Sixth Grade Science classroom after these great examples.

When she’s not in class, Mallika loves to travel (Zurich and the Cayman Islands are favorite destinations), run (she’s training for a half marathon) and visit some of her favorite spots in her native St. Louis—including Dewey’s Pizza, Forest Park, and Creve Coeur Lake.

and playing golf. He also plays on a recreational softball league and loves to grill, watch Mizzou football and spend time at his family’s condominium in Cape Coral, FL, where he tries to visit 3-4 times a year. His two sons Logan, 9, and Tyler, 13, keep him busy as well with after school activities and soccer practice.

Aaron is at CDS full time and is available to answer all questions related to tuition billing and FACTS.
