fourth and sixth grade outdoor education:

falling in love with

The fall brings changing leaves, cooler temperatures, and shorter days. For the Fourth and Sixth Grade students at CDS, it also means an opportunity for study in one of the most meaningful classrooms available to each of us: the great outdoors.

In September, the Fourth Grade traveled to Shaw Nature Reserve in Gray's Summit. Mr. Lancaster & Ms. Raman led the annual trip to this local treasure, where students studied stream ecology, went on informative night hikes, and enjoyed nightly campfires. They also became experts in fishing, catching a record number of fish!
