Pax by Sara Pennypacker

This is the best juvenile fiction book that I've read in a very long time! It is definitely a tear jerker, best for Grades 4-5-6. Pax is about a boy separated from his fox during wartime. He runs away from home looking for his pet who his father forced him to release in the woods. He wants nothing more than to be reunited with him.
