When Rolex switched from radium to tritium for the luminous marking on the dial , this is indicated by a underline . These dials can only be found between 1963 to 1964 and should be designated ‘ Swiss ’ at the bottom and should be finished in black lacquer . The present example , manufactured in 1964 , features all of these attributes including the sought after pointed crown guards . Overall the watch is in great condition with very sharp case , beveled edges and charismatic dial .
