The Warriors defeated the Cougars in five innings by a score of 11-0. Enroute to his perfect game, Beachy struck out six Cougar hitters. He faced the minimum Central Noble hitters (15) while throwing 52 pitches in his five innings of work. Judah Zickafoose helped the Warrior cause by launching a 2-run homerun in the second inning. Beachy also contributed at the plate, as he went three for three with a double and four runs batted in (RBI). Jake Berkey and Kohle Christner each smashed doubles in the Warriors win. Berkey and Damon Miller each had an RBI each. In addition to their win over Central Noble on Saturday, the Warriors also defeated Bethany in the regularly scheduled game at Westview. Once again, Judah Zickafoose starred at the plate, pounding out three hits in three at bats including a single, triple and homerun and four runs batted in. Jake Berkey had a double and triple and an RBI. Jamar Weaver rapped out two singles and drove in three runs. Hunter Christner and Jamin Lambright had two hits each in the Warriors win. Senior Damon Miller picked up the win on the mound for the Warriors. He pitched four innings and allowed one run and just two hits while striking out four. The Warriors, under the direction of second-year head coach Jason Rahn, have been battling the elements all season long, but have managed to compile a very impressive 7-1 record, as of our May issue deadline.
