Yoder Receives Lilly Scholarship After a very competitive selection process that included academic qualification through SAT scores followed by an assessment of written and verbal communication skills that focused on community service and leadership, the LaGrange County Community Foundation (LCCF) Board of Directors in partnership with Independent Colleges of Indiana (ICI) has announced this year’s Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship recipient for LaGrange County. Westview senior Brett Yoder is the 2013 recipient of the award. He is the son of Ron and Brenda Yoder of Shipshewana. Brett has been on the Westview high honor roll throughout high school and has also served as captain of the Westview basketball team. In addition, he has served as President of the Mennonite Youth Fellowship at his church and Vice President of the LIFE Youth Philanthropy Pod. He is a member of the National Honor Society, PLUS and the Spanish Club.
