Shipshe Historical Museum Opening The Shipshewana Area Historical Society Museum will have its seasonal opening on Wednesday, May 1 from 1-4 pm. The museum is located in the Farver School building on East Main Street in Shipshewana. During the summer season the museum will be open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1-4 pm. Tours may be scheduled during the summer months by calling Janet Schrock at 768-4637 or Roberta Markley at 768-4596. The Historical Society will be selling historically themed afghans and they will be available at the museum by May 1. They feature some of the historical buildings in Shipshewana. The Historical Society’s garage sale will be held on Friday, May 10 from 8 am - 4 pm and Saturday, May 11 from 8 am - 12 noon. The next meeting for the Shipshewana Area Historical Society will be Monday, May 20 at 6:30 pm at the Farver School building.
