Conservation Holidays In a first for central Scotland, Dean Castle Country Park’s brand new outdoor education centre is offering exciting residential volunteering holidays. Two all- inclusive weekends will take place - Rhodie- Bashing in August and Coppicing in October to give you a taste of practical conservation at a special rate of just £40 for the weekend. Rhodie-bashing FRI 4 - SUN 6 AUG · £40 DEAN CASTLE COUNTRY PARK Help us eradicate Rhododendron Ponticum, an invasive species that can take over native woodland. We’ll be using tools and pulling it out by hand. If the weather’s fine, we’ll also try our hand at moth trapping in the evening or maybe go for a bat walk.
