“From Brokenness to Wholeness” John 4:14:1-19
Have you ever felt like something was missing in your
life? Have you ever had a void in your life? Have you
ever went searching for something in hopes of filling the
void? Trust and know that if that person is or has been
you…You are not alone. We have all had moments in
our lives where we were missing or lacking something.
Each of us have had moments in our life where we have
felt like we were broken beyond despair….Broken
hearts, Broken Dreams, Broken Promises, Broken Relationships. Let me tell you on today, that despite whatever
area in your life that has been broken…I know someone
that can make you whole again. His name is Jesus and I
have a witness on today in the “woman at the well.” The
“woman at the well” is a well-known story in the Bible.
We know very little about her other than that she was a
Samaritan woman who had a void in her heart. Much
like many us, she thought that she could fill this void
with physical remedies. The Bible said that this woman
had 5 husbands and the one that she was with, was not
her husband.
She was going from man to man to man looking for
wholeness. But the more she tried to become whole…the
more broken she became after each relationship. But we
all can identify with this woman. Maybe you haven’t
been from man to man…but you have been from bottle
to bottle….or maybe you went from job to job…maybe
you too have went from relationship to relationship….searching for something with no results.
The only way to become whole is to understand that we
need Jesus in order to make us whole. We can’t become
whole if we hold on to what has been broken…
Give Jesus your broken Hearts!!
Give Jesus your broken Body!! Give Jesus your broken
mind!! He is the only one that can fix it. It’s quite possible that the Bible doesn’t even mention her name because we all can relate to this woman. We all have been
there before. But the same Jesus that stopped by and
Healed this woman…is the same Jesus that will stop by
and see about you!!
